They all said that Hope Marie Scroggs, the town's sweetheart, always gets what she wanted but ever since she left her small town Bramble, nothing in her life went right. She left town to be famous and be a star but it didn't happen the way she wanted it. She decided to go home and marry her high school sweetheart, the town's hero, Slate but she found him head over heels in love with her twin sister.
She thought that was the worst thing that could happen to her but she was dead wrong! The worst came when her childhood nemesis, her best friend’s older brother, the town's bad boy, Colt Lomax came home.
Colt Lomax didn't even know why he suddenly went back to his hated little town, Bramble. He was supposed to deliver a motorcycle to Austin but he found himself in the old town. He stumbled to Faith and Slate’s wedding and kissed the bride whom at that time he thought was Hope. And what he got was bruises from the groom and the bride’s twin Hope.
Hope just wants Colt out of her town but fate has something else in stored for them. Something so unexpected that will boggle their minds out.
This contemporary romance is a real nice read for me. Katie Lane is one author a reader wouldn’t want to miss! She wrote the characters in a way that makes me feel that they’re real because they weren’t the perfect types, they have flaws. She wrote a story that could make a reader die out of curiosity. While reading the first part, a reader will be curious as to what did the main characters go through together. What connected them? And what happened between them in the past. Katie Lane gave the readers a glimpse on what it’s like living in a small town where everybody knows everybody.
‘Make Mine a Bad Boy’ is light and fun to read! It would leave a little smile on your face when you finished it.
That sounds great. I love characters that are flawed, because it's easier to relate to them. And Jesus, look at that cover! It's mouth-watering.
