Book Blurb:

So wrong for each other...and yet so right.

No one knows what happened the night Echo Emerson went from popular girl with jock boyfriend to gossiped-about outsider with "freaky" scars on her arms. Even Echo can't remember the whole truth of that horrible night. All she knows is that she wants everything to go back to normal.

But when Noah Hutchins, the smoking-hot, girl-using loner in the black leather jacket, explodes into her life with his tough attitude and surprising understanding, Echo's world shifts in ways she could never have imagined. They should have nothing in common. And with the secrets they both keep, being together is pretty much impossible.  Yet the crazy attraction between them refuses to go away.

And Echo has to ask herself just how far they can push the limits and what she'll risk for the one guy who might teach her how to love again.

My Thoughts:

Pushing the Limits is the first work of Ms. Katie McGarry I've ever read and I can honestly say that this book totally owned  me! It took me on a ride on total roller coaster of emotions.

The characters are so real and alive that I couldn't help but fall in love with them. Echo is a girl who was shattered and broken by an event in her life that she couldn't even remember. She used to be one of the most popular girl on school but something happened that left her scarred, broken and simply just a hollow shell of her former self.

Meanwhile, Noah Hutchins, is a guy who was known as the bad boy in school. The stoner. The guy who only uses girls for a night. He was destroyed by the system that was supposed to protect him. He is a jaded young man who only lived for the day he could get his brothers back.

These two people who are so different on the outside and yet the same on the inside, were thrown together by the circumstances they find themselves in. At first, they couldn't stand each other but when  secrets are finally shared, they realized that the only person who could understand the pain that each of them go through is each other.

I really do love the way the romance was written in this book. The romance wasn't rushed. Echo and Noah didn't magically got together because of a silly attraction. It was a process. It was like one wall broken down after another with every interaction and realization from them. It was fascinating to read. It was heart felt and very real and believable.

The plot is so real. The way Ms. Katie McGarry wrote this book is so good. Every emotion that the author wants to convey was felt through every word that shoots to the heart of the reader. I love the pace that the author took for this book. It wasn't an easy journey for Echo and Noah but I can say that it was so worth it.

I also love how the author didn't forget to add some wit and fun in this book. This book have a very edgy and deep plot but adding some fun to it is really good. The fun and sexy banters between Echo and Noah is really good to read. I also appreciate how the author gave importance to the other characters. They weren't just there to be a display. They were there to help build the characters of Noah and Echo. Through these characters, a reader would see their relationships to others and in turn that gives more credibility to the relationship Noah and Echo have.

Overall, I love this book! It was a perfect read to me! There is nothing that I didn't like or love at all. I enjoyed the roller coaster ride of emotions. It was definitely one of my best reads! If you want to read a book with a deep plot that has an edge of reality, a romance that could make you burn with emotions and characters that you could relate to, that you couldn't help but fall in love with them, then I strongly suggest that you get this book when it comes out on July 31 because this book is definitely for you!

I don't know if there are enough words to describe how great this book is or how much it affected me as a reader but I think telling you guys that I cried real tears for this book might be enough.
